Terms and conditions

General Terms and Conditions (GTC) of the Travel Company Travelgems Korea for Travel Agency Services and Tour Guidance
As of January 2026

  1. Scope and Subject Matter of the Contract

Travelgems Korea acts as an agent for tours, transportation services, and other individual tourist services (e.g., entry fees) on the basis of these GTC. The services are provided by local service providers and organizers.
Travelgems Korea coordinates the local offerings into a package and handles the registration, reservation, and booking for the travel participants. The respective contracted service providers are responsible for the provision of the services.
Flights and accommodations are booked by the travelers themselves and are not subject to these GTC.
Services provided directly by Travelgems Korea include the presence of a German-speaking contact person on site, the welcome at the airport upon arrival within the time frame specified in the offer, the initial meeting of the travelers as a group, and accompaniment during transfers between travel locations.

  2. Registration and Booking

Bookings must be made in writing in any case. This can be done via the website, by email, via WhatsApp, or via Instagram.
With the registration, the travelers commission Travelgems Korea to make a binding booking of the selected package. Travelgems Korea assumes no liability or guarantee for the brokered services provided by local service providers.

  3. Registration/Booking for Multiple Persons

If the registration/booking includes other travelers, the registering/booking person acts as their representative. The registration is made by the registering person also for all participants listed in the registration, for whose contractual obligations the registering person is liable as for their own obligations.

  4. Booking Confirmation

Registrations/bookings will be confirmed in writing by Travelgems Korea within 24 hours. Confirmation will be sent by email. Travelers are obliged to check the booking confirmation they receive immediately for accuracy and completeness and to notify Travelgems Korea of any inaccuracies or discrepancies.
If this is not done within 10 days, the offer is deemed accepted.

  5. Rebooking/Cancellation

Travelers may withdraw from the contract at any time. In the event of cancellation, a percentage of the travel price will be charged as compensation. Specifically, these are:

  • Up to two months before the start of the tour: 10% of the package price
  • 8 – 4 weeks before the start of the tour: 50% of the package price
  • Less than 4 weeks before the start of the tour: 100% of the package price.

A one-time rebooking to a different travel date is possible free of charge up to 4 weeks before the start of the tour. In the event of a later or repeated rebooking, the same costs apply as for a cancellation.
If the travelers cannot take the tour themselves, a third party can take their place. This is possible at any time and at short notice. Notification on the day of the tour start or upon pickup at the airport is sufficient. The corresponding rebooking of the flight and accommodation is the responsibility of the travelers.

  1. Deviations and Cancellation by Travelgems Korea

Travelgems Korea and local service providers may change contractual services or deviate from them if it is in the interest of the travelers. These may include: weather conditions, natural disasters, war or warlike conflicts, strikes, terrorist attacks, illnesses, political or economic events.
If such a case occurs, compensation, an alternative offer, or a refund will be provided.

  2. Special Provisions

Travelers are themselves responsible for informing themselves about entry, visa, and customs regulations. Travelgems Korea provides links to this information on its website but cannot guarantee the accuracy, completeness, or timeliness of this information.

  3. Payments

Payments amounting to at least 50% of the tour costs are due within 2 weeks of receiving the invoice. The remaining 50% are due at the start of the tour at the latest.
    Payments can be made by:

  • Bank transfer, or
  • Cash or card payment at the start of the tour (the latter is only possible for the outstanding balance).

In the event of non-payment or incomplete payment, travelers lose their right to participate in the tour program.

  1. Statute of Limitations

Claims pursuant to §§ 651 c to 651 f of the German Civil Code (BGB) must be asserted by the traveler against the tour operator within one month of the contractually scheduled end of the trip. After this period, the traveler can only assert claims if they were prevented from meeting the deadline through no fault of their own. Otherwise, § 651 g BGB and the general statutory provisions apply.

  1. Other Rules

    10.1 German law applies.
The place of jurisdiction is determined by the respective traveler’s place of residence.
In case of doubt, the statutory provisions pursuant to §§ 651 a et seq. BGB apply.
